WILDFIRE RECOVERY AND REBUILDING RESOURCES

In support of our clients and greater community experiencing the unthinkable, we are working to collect verified and helpful information and resources. Recovering and rebuilding from fire damage or property loss can be deeply overwhelming. Our goal is to help gather, review, and share materials from reputable sources to support you in the early stages of damage assessment and rebuilding efforts.

Here are the most effective resources we have found:

Homeowner’s Checklist: After the Fire | Step-by-step guide for navigating what to do after losing property to a wildfire. This document was created by USC Public Exchange.

Wildfire Resources - California Department of Insurance | Ricardo Lara, California Insurance Commissioner, offers an extensive list of documents and guides that explain key insurance coverage terms, preparation tips for making and settling a claim, and strategies to avoid pitfalls that can occur in the process.

The LA County Recovers website is continually updated with the latest information regarding debris removal (both Phase 1 hazardous waste removal and Phase 2 general debris removal). The site’s Frequently Asked Questions page is an excellent summary of common concerns, especially regarding re-entry and rebuilding.
