This lively ErgoFit gym emerged from a vacant historic property on the internationally known Magazine Street in New Orleans. Boasting six miles of unique experiential retail, Magazine Street developments date back to the city's expansion beyond the original French Quarter. Originally a Winsberg's Shoe Store, this 100-year-old building required the team to completely transform its structure while preserving its charming historic features such as exposed brick and wood joist ceilings. The result is a vibrant, state-of-the-art gym with dedicated spaces for group fitness and a design that not only supports the founders' passion for rowing, fitness, and urban renewal, but also incorporates the architectural details inherent to the city's rich history. With regular progress updates on social media including hard hat tours and participation in local Mardi Gras events, ErgoFit shared the renovation process to engage the local community. Through architect, interior design, and construction services, we expertly executed this commercial retail renovation, supporting ErgoFit's goal to thrive as a locally owned, one-of-a-kind fitness studio.
